Rapidly rising evaluation ratings of the Military Academy of Lithuania

The data published by the Research Council of Lithuania show that after the approval of the Strategy 2018–2024 of General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania (MAL) the growing importance of research has led to high ratings in social sciences.
The institutional evaluation of the Lithuanian higher education institutions carried out in 2019 by the Research Council of Lithuania revealed that in the field of social sciences the MAL is the tenth of twenty-seven institutions, whereas in terms of staff, it was ranked eighth.
“The Military Academy of Lithuania sets itself a goal to achieve even higher ratings in science in the future”, said Dr. Olga Navickienė, Head of the Research Project Support Section.
By enhancing the quality of science, the MAL seeks to attract the most gifted applicants.
The MAL conducts internationally recognized political science, management and interdisciplinary researches relevant to the National Defence System and encourages master and doctoral students to participate in the research projects carried out by the researchers of the MAL.
