 Brigadier General Kazimierz Jaklewicz, Commandant-rector of General Tadeusz Kosciuszko Land Forces Military Academy of Poland, and Lieutenant Colonel Krzysztof Klupa, Head of Humanities Department, visited the Military Academy of Lithuania on March 31 – April 1, 2010.
During the visit, the guests met the authorities of the Military Academy. During the meeting, the presentations of General Jonas Zemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania and General Tadeusz Kosciuszko Land Forces Military Academy of Poland were carried out. Brigadier General Edvardas Mazeikis, Commandant of the Military Academy of Lithuania, emphasized the importance of the leader’s accomplishments in future officers’ training. The benefits of co-operation for both institutions and the realization of mutual scientific projects were also discussed.
During the presentation, the guests spoke about deep traditions at General Tadeusz Kosciuszko Land Forces Military Academy, which are very important in training future officers. They also thoroughly described the establishment of the academy and presented the officers’ training curricula.
During the presentations and discussions, the representatives of the military institutions found many features binding both academies together. During the meeting, a co-operation agreement was signed, which will give the opportunity to develop the exchange of cadets and postgraduate students, and to exchange the experience in teaching and scientific research areas.
During their stay, the guests visited the Cadets Battalion, the laser firing range, the Officers’ Mess, the sports complex and the library. The excursion around the historical places of Vilnius made a great impression on the guests.
