Cadets’ Choir visited Zokniai Air Force Base 2009-10-01
Last Thursday, 1 October 2009, Men‘s Choir of the Military Academy of Lithuania „Kariunas“ took a trip to Zokniai Air Force Base where a celebration of the 5 years of the Base establishment was organised. The community of the Air Base was entertained by the Orchestra of Lithuanian Armed Forces and Men‘s Choir of the Military Academy of Lithuania. We left in the morning, just after the first lecture. We were singing on our way and decided to stop at a cafe in Radviliskis for a snack before the concert. When we finally reached our destination we were met by graduate of the Academy who is now as well a Lieutenant called Mika. He guided us to the concert hall where we had a repetition before the event. During the concert to the community of the Air Base our choir got lots of applauses. We performed 9 pieces altogether. We ended with the song “Boys” that entertained the airmen very much. After a short “thanks” to the orchestra and choir we had a short excursion during which we were introduced a helicopter, fighter aircraft and the entire pilot’s equipment. In the evening after entertainment, we went back to the Academy.
