The General Jonas Ţemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania cooperates with almost all educational institutions of higher education in Lithuania. MAL prepares aviation specialists for Lithuanian Armed Forces together with Antanas Gustaitis Institute of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, implements student exchange program together with Institute of International Relations and Political Science of University of Vilnius.
Cadets and employees of MAL take part in different events organised by the institutions. Cadets regularly assist Lithuanian Riflemen's Union in organising camps and training for junior riflemen, as well as scouts.
Schoolchildren and student are welcome to the Academy, excursions and exhibitions are organised for them. Cadets visit Lithuanian schools and gymnasiums where they meet students. The objectives of such visits are to introduce process of admission to MAL, study programs, peculiarities of military service and military traditions.
From 2002 cadets take part in the program „Civil MAL cadets‘education in volunteer BBBS (Big Brothers, Big Sisters) activity“. This long-lasting project is a sincere, volunteer cadet partnership in hosting socially affected children and their families.
3 March 2009 the social partnership agreement between PI „Gimnazistai“ and the MAL was signed, following which the parties undertook to participate in such common projects as children and youth civic and patriotic education as well as projects developing their physical and spiritual wealth.
27 May 2009 the General Jonas Ţemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania signed cooperation Agreement with Vilnius City Municipality in which both parties undertake to organise common educational, civil educational, art and science development projects as well as arrange events in public areas and Military Academy of Lithuania.
Cooperation agreement with the State Border Guard Service School was signed on 1st February 2010. The contract provides mutual assistance for cadets and students' learning process between the two institutions, common work on the methodological material, exchange of specialists and the opportunity for cadets to do practical work in the Border Guard school. It is planned to organize joint training, sports and vocational skills competitions.
MAL also cooperates with Trakai History Museum, Vytautas Magnus Military Museum and various public organisations of the country.
