The main objective of Officer Selection Centre is to evaluate the candidates and select the ones, suitable for the officer’s profession by means of professional suitability test. During selection process the commission evaluates different candidates’ qualities necessary for a future officer, able to command in peace and war.
The Centre was established on 15 February 2001. The selection and testing system applied here follows the methodology of the Permanent Selection Commission of the Armed Forces of Great Britain, specialists’ experience and recommendations, with special adaptation to Lithuanian conditions, also applying original tests drafted by scientists of the MAL and other higher educational institutions of Lithuania.
