From 29 June till 31 July, aircraft piloting practice for second course cadets of MAL, studying according to aircraft piloting program, is taking place at Kyviskiai Airport.
On 13 July 2009 Sigita Gailiunaite, a representative of Canberra Lithuanian Community in Australia visited the Military Academy of Lithuania. During the meeting with the leaders of the MAL, the perspectives for future cooperation were discussed and Brig. Gen. Edvardas Mazeikis presented the guest a symbolic Academy’s souvenir.
3 July 2009 in Simonas Daukantas Square, the President of Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus conferred commission to 43 Cadets of The General Jonas Zemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania.
