On 17-24 August 2008 Lt Col Eltonas Meleckis, the Chief of the General Jonas Zemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania Air Force Command and Staff Course, won a silver medal in the free programme in the First FAI World YAK-52 Aerobatic Championship held in Novosibirsk, Russia.
