When? When Shall You Come Again? When Shall It Be ..?
2008-04-03
On 27 March 2008 to celebrate St Easter the Cadet Battalion Commander Lt Col Saulius Vitkus, together with MAL cadets visited the Child Care Centre in Kurđënai. Meetings with children that have been deprived by the fate have already become a nice tradition. Every time these children desparately wait for the arrival of their friends from the Military Academy of Lithuania who are going to share warmth and give at least some attention that children need; also, they will tell incredible stories from their military life about hardships and challenges that are also there during exercises and, the most importantly, keep their promile to come back. When the time comes to say goodbye these children strongly hold cadets on their neck, asking just a single question, ‘When, when will you come again? This is the question that leaves one excited; and the eyes flood with tears, no matter how dumble the would-be officer would be.

One Week after St Easter Celebration at the MAL
2008-04-02
St Easter is one of the most beautiful spring festivities that symbolise the rebirth and revival of everything that is alive, which is impossible to be left unnoticed. One week after St Easter celebration has been held at the Academy for the second time. It is the day when the community of the Academy is radiating good mood, happiness, and warm emotions.

During the celebration children and the MAL community were given stylised tasks related to St Easter traditions and customs.

Other MAL community members also had no time to be bored: they actively supported their colleagues who were given the task to create a St Easter poem.

Of course, the margutis, the dyed egg, was the main atribute of the festivity that was rolled; and the most beautiful margutis was selected via competition.

That was a nice opportunity for the MAL community to communicate, relax, build up strong interrelations and traditions.
