The Public Procurement Division (hereinafter the PPD) is a structural division within the General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania. The main objective of this Division is to organise the decentralised MAL public procurement activities, following the LR Law on Public Procurement and other legal acts. To implement the established objectives, the PPD undertakes to accomplish the following functions:
to participate in planning of the MAL public procurement activities;
to keep, analyse, and archive the data regarding the decentralised MAL public procurement;
to coordinate the decentralised public procurement within the MAL;
to organise public procurement activities as assigned to the PPD; to select the best tender for goods, services, or work to be purchased;
to participate in the work on the Public Procurement Commissions; to estimate the proposals provided by suppliers;
to control the timely implementation of the MAL public procurement plans;
to draft reports regarding the decentralised MAL public procurement;
