Major goals of the Division of Physical Training:

  • To develop the following physical qualities: endurance, strength, speed and nimbleness;
  • To teach and develop the following physical skills: to move in rugged terrain, ski overcoming obstacles and swim with equipment;
  • To develop psychophysical skills necessary for a leader to undertake special missions;
  • To strengthen servicemen’ health and harden their bodies in the conditions of combat activities and unfavourable factors;
  • To lead healthy lifestyle. 

Major activities of the Division of Physical Training:

  • To develop officers’ leadership skills;
  • To conduct physical training exercises for commanders and junior staff officers;
  • To provide officers with psychophysical training;
  • Scientific activities (optimization of the Lithuanian servicemen’ psychophysical training programmes);
  • Sports (boxing, judo, football, force triathlon, military pentathlon, combat self-defence, basketball, track and field athletics: run, orienteering, weightlifting);
  • Physical training assessment of the Academy servicemen, candidates to the Academy and servicemen from other subunits;
  • Other sport events.
