10 October 2009, Saturday, the General Jonas Zemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania first year cadets’ oath taking ceremony was held in Lithuanian National Museum. It was the first time when the oath taking ceremony has been organized outside the Academy area.
Last Thursday, 1 October 2009, Men‘s Choir of the Military Academy of Lithuania „Kariûnas“ took a trip to Zokniai Air Force Base where a celebration of the 5 years of the Base establishment was organised. The community of the Air Base was entertained by the Orchestra of Lithuanian Armed Forces and Men‘s Choir of the Military Academy of Lithuania.
First of all we would like to express gratitude to the people who organised the Autumn‘s festival to us. Even although there usually are dissatisfied people whose dissatisfaction and criticism interferes in creating festive atmosphere of the event, these people never give in and make every effort to organise an interesting and colourful festival.
9 September 2009 seven cadets from the General Jonas Þemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania who attend dance club of the academy were invited to participate at the popular television reality show „Challenge-MISS LITHUANIA 2009“.
On 4 September started VII th International pilgrim route from Hill of Crosses to Ðiluva, dedicated to 1608 th Anniversary St. Mary‘s apparition. St. Mary‘s apparition in Ðiluva is considered the first apparition of the Mother of God in Europe and one of five apparitions recognised by the Church as well as the only case when God‘s Mother appeared to people of different confessions.
On 14-17 April 2009 the General Jonas Zemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania Cadets Asta Jankauskaite, Paulius Venclovas, and the Chief of Staff (Cadet Battalion), Major Stasys Zakaras, visited the Royal Danish Military Academy (Academy), where they participated in a one-week exchange programme.
